I have had very few moments where I have truly ranted on here. Consider this to be one of those times. Warning: For whatever reason, when I really get ranty, I tend to also get kind of ghetto, which is sort of hilarious when you think about me being a white girl.
If you clicked this thinking I wrote it about/for you specifically, well, I hate to disappoint, but I didn't. But hey, if the glass slipper fits, by all means, put it on, Cinderella.
This topic is one I've been thinking about for a while. I didn't really get the motivation to write about it until tonight, when I used the same topic in a paper for school. Trust me...this is not what I used in my paper. But that point still stands.
I spend an inordinate amount of time on Facebook, and I've gotta say....MAN...there are some really passive-aggressive people out there.
I need to ask you....WHY? Does being passive aggressive accomplish something for that you being straight out honest doesn't? It's such a sissy little cop-out to actual confrontation. Honestly. You're pissed? SAY IT. You're mad? SAY IT. You're hurt? SAY IT.
Don't do this BS where you post something vague like "Ugh! What even!?" or "Worst day ever" or "Can't believe her." Sure, these methods convey some sort of feeling. OH! MAN! Know what my favorite thing about these updates are?! That when people openly ask you what's going on, you just reply with "Oh nothing" or "don't want to talk about it here."
Biiiiiitch. You serious!? You're gonna tell me that you posted some shit on-line and then all of a sudden you 'don't wanna talk about it?' Get your fake, sissy ass outta here. You're doing this shit for some sort of attention, and that shit is just ridiculous. Chances are, you're a grown ass adult, perfectly able of knowing what the hell it is you're doing.
What you're doing is a bitch move. Instead of saying some vague ass shit that could apply to anyone, just fucking say it. Do something along the lines of "Holy hell, my car exploded, my dog got hit by a car in front of me and I was just told I have ass cancer" THAT is a legit reason to have a bad day. "This girl just led me on for four months, and I never got to play naked twister with her, fucking waste of time." THAT is a legit reason to say some shit about a chick. "Dude just pissed in my cheerios and set my head on fire!" THAT is a reason to post some angry shit.
This vague garbage that you use...? It does nothing. For anyone. It gives you a false sense of accomplishment at having in some very strange way, not really calling a person out on their shit, even though you think that's what you're doing. Newsflash: It's a waste of time. If you wanna call someone or something out, just DO it. Toughen 'em up a little bit. That's what's wrong with this world. Everyone is too overly concerned about saving face, about never hurting anyone, that they're willing to become two inches tall in order to feel six feet tall. And it is some bullshit. If you don't wanna make a huge deal of calling someone out in a public forum like that, well then, chances are, you've got their number. Or you can message them on whatever platform of social media it is you use. You can keep your beef private and still say your piece.
Knock the shit off. Grow some balls or just stay quiet, because that's basically what passive-aggression is. Taking a quiet way out of a confrontation that doesn't even warrant enough of a response from the other person. Be direct. You'll get more places in life, I promise. You don't necessarily need to be a dick about things. Sometimes that's warranted. Just say what the hell it is you mean and move on.
